Hotels in Riviera maya

Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya (Mayan Riviera) is one of the most acclaimed touristic destinations worldwide with a great amount of hotels. The mix of Caribbean Sea, sunny skies and the chance to visit some of the most important archaeological remains in Mexico, turn this visit into the most unforgettable experience. To book any of our resorts or hotels within the Riviera Maya is a safe bet.

What to visit

The name Riviera Maya was created in 1999 to promote tourism in the northern region of the Yucatan Peninsula, and was sponsored by the towns in the area. Since then, the available touristic offer, and the amount of new hotels in Riviera Maya, has done nothing but keep growing.

We can find Puerto Morelos in the Northern region, which holds Arrecife National Park in its shores. Aquatic sports, such as diving or windsurf can be practised in this area. Playa Carmen is the most populated and cosmopolitan town in the area. Its shopping streets and urban beaches are well renowned. We will find Puerto Aventura (Adventure Port), a high end residential and touristic complex featuring golf fields, tennis clubs, shopping centers, restaurants and hotels in the Riviera.

If we keep our route along the Riviera Maya, we arrive to Akumal, where the Yalku Lake is located, which is a perfect place for snorkeling, due to the great amount of reefs present. In a few miles, we will arrive to Aktun Chen caverns, where you can enjoy both stalactites and stalagmites.

Tulum Ruins is one of the star locations in the Riviera Maya, the remains being bathed by the waters. West of Tulum, we will find Coba Ruins, of great beauty and value, too.

Among the vast touristic offerings in the region, you can admire Chichen Itza, one of the greatest Mayan Archaeological remains available. It is an alleged cult city, declared by Unesco as Cultural Heritage of Mankind in 1988.

What to eat

You can try some taste surprising dishes in the Yucatan Peninsula. In fact, any of our hotels will provide you with an ample selection of local dishes and products. We recommend you to try, when tours will allow it, Poc Chuc, salbutes, papadzul, or stuffed cheese; all of them while you are visiting the Riviera Maya.
